Beav browser extension
Use Chrome or Edge to save web pages, platform content, images, videos, comments, and selected text into Beav on your machine.
The browser extension brings the content you find while browsing into Beav, and provides the local connection for browser control tasks you start yourself.
What you can save
- Regular web page links and body text.
- Xiaohongshu notes, images, videos, comment sections, and creator profile pages.
- YouTube video pages.
- WeChat Official Account articles, Zhihu content, and other readable web pages.
- Web images, video links, and selected text.
Different sites expose different fields. The extension identifies the current page first, then shows the save actions that fit it.
Side panel and page actions
Clicking the Beav icon in the browser toolbar opens the side panel. It shows what the extension detected on the current page, capture tasks, history, settings, and the connection status.
Some platform pages also show Beav action buttons for saving the current content, downloading assets, or collecting comments. The extension never asks you to hand your site passwords to Beav; it works on pages where you are already signed in and have started the action yourself.
Browser control
After you start a browser task in Beav and grant permission, Beav can read the page structure and click, type, scroll, and take screenshots. Controlled pages show a status indicator, and it is released when the task ends. Details: Browser control.
Get started
Go to Install the browser extension. Installing from the Chrome Web Store is recommended; you can also download the ZIP and load it manually. After installing, save one web page and verify the local connection.
